An experiential laboratory day to get in contact with your true creativity.
[ Video by Tina Fasan / Music by SMET / Photographs by Alessia Celato ]
What is creativity for you? For us it is expression, and if it is authentic, it deserves value. It is spontaneity. Nothing to do with drawing well, painting well, knowing how to play an instrument. The technical skills are very important, but alone they are not enough.
We often see objects, paintings or listen to music and say: “cool!”, but we do not go any further, we don’t understand their depth, they don’t resonate with us.
Something beautiful is not always something creative. Spontaneity instead is always creative and we need it in every moment of our life.
Let go all those limiting thoughts that have us conditioned so far: let go the phrases like “you don’t know how to draw”, “you don’t know how to paint”, “your portrait is ugly” and so on.

#1_STOP THINKING, WE ARE HERE, RIGHT NOW.
DECONDITIONING FROM THE IDEA WE HAVE ABOUT CREATIVITY.
What is creativity for you? For us it is expression, and if it is authentic, it deserves value. It is spontaneity. Nothing to do with drawing well, painting well, knowing how to play an instrument. The technical skills are very important, but alone they are not enough.

Let go all those limiting thoughts that have us conditioned so far: let go the phrases like “you don’t know how to draw”, “you don’t know how to paint”, “your portrait is ugly” and so on.
We symbolically leave our mind in a point of the room and accompanied by music we move our body following the spontaneous movement, allowing the body to move as it wants, using every kind of movement and voice expressions.

Wrapped in silence we take time for ourselves: we use hands, sponges, not brushes.
We follow the flow and freely express all our feelings on paper, our emotions and the feelings of this first experience.
.
#2_WHERE DO I LIVE?
I ENTER MY BODY, I LISTEN TO MY BREATH, TOUCH THE PARTS OF MY BODY
In silence, guided by Marina’s voice, we take up residence in our breath, a necessary instrument to get in touch with our body. Feeling the body helps us to be present in the moment.
Accompanied by music we go representing our body on paper, with colours.
#3_WHO AM I, AND HOW DO YOU SEE ME?
In a fluid society, constant mirroring with others and with a virtual reality leads to an identity crisis: WHO AM I?
If I just focus on myself, the risk is of being autoreferential. If I seek approval from others, the risk is of losing myself.
We should find a balance; see ourselves for what we really are thanks to the mirror and thanks to the others.
We take a mirror and we look at ourselves, we observe, we draw what we see.
In couples, we give feedback on the portraits and we modify them based on how we feel the essence of the other. We share our feelings on the changes and we define them using three words, which we write on the mirror.

#4_FEEDBACK
Each participant collects his works and sets up his gallery, one space that represents itself.
The reality test: how do others perceive me?
We are not interested in the aesthetic judgment; we are interested in the emotions we transmit.
With our time, we go visiting all the galleries with post-its and markers. We leave a post-it with a word for each gallery or for each opera. The first word that comes up in our mind, spontaneously, without thinking about it too much. A word that feels true for us in that moment.
We often judge according to our taste, without any criteria. Here we learn to express ourselves by taking responsibility for what we feel.

In the absence of judgment, the others perceive the feedback as phenomenological, and therefore constructive.
We take a moment of silence to read the post-its and share what we think about them, what we learned and what we received from others.
OUTPUT
Participants are more aware of their personality; the way they perceive reality and the way they perceive themselves in that reality.
We should all learn to rely on our authenticity and we should learn to adapt inventively to the external environment without distorting ourselves.
FEEDBACK FROM PARTICIPANTS
- Today I learnt to be more aware of how I feel and don’t judge myself
- I came here without expectations and my energy was black and white. During this day, I add many colours! I come back home with a beautiful palette!
- We all should not be afraid to be distorted from the outside, but accepting the change while maintaining and observing the center of what we are
- I feel weird, relaxed and thoughtful. It’s interesting that you can feel a full spectrum of emotions in 15 minutes
- I learnt that all the different energies and emotions are interrelated and this concerns everyone
- Every person is a world by itself, I would love to discover mine and get surprised in knowing all the others

TARGET
Everyone is welcome!
